Aytza is building the future of strategic consulting. We're an AI-native consulting firm that combines deep human expertise with the precision and speed of AI, designed from the ground up for healthcare startup leaders.
We turn the traditional consulting pyramid on its head: a core AI engine powers our data, analysis, and workflows, with humans in the loop to guide judgment and quality. This allows experienced advisors to support startups in a leaner, faster, and more scalable way. We are post-product and revenue positive, actively serving a fast-growing group of client founders navigating complex, high-stakes decisions across the healthcare landscape.
We're hiring a Chief Technology Officer to lead Aytza’s technical vision, architecture, and product development.
This role reports directly to the CEO and will work in close partnership with the CPO and the broader leadership team. As an early senior leader at Aytza, the CTO will have a meaningful impact on infrastructure, scale, security, AI strategy, data architecture, and integrations. You will build and deliver scalable, secure products that amplify the reach and efficiency of our human experts. You will lead and continue to build our engineering capability, fostering an Engineering culture that enables us to move quickly without sacrificing quality. Note, we cannot sponsor a US work visa.
Where We Are (technically)
With the help of our incredible AI engineers supported by expert advisors, we have built a set of core internal-facing products that
What You’ll Do:
In the near term, the CTO will help us
This is a remote role with the expectation of flexibility to collaborate during East Coast hours and occasional travel for in-person team time. We are a distributed team, but strong real-time collaboration matters at our stage.
Own Aytza’s technical architecture. Define the long-term architecture, platform strategy for Aytza’s consulting OS and future product suite.
Build and evolve the core platform. Design and implement the systems that power data ingestion, knowledge workflows, AI reasoning, and client-facing outputs.
Lead engineering execution. Ship quickly with the team while establishing the technical foundation needed for reliability, speed, and scale.
Partner on product strategy. Work closely with the CPO and CEO to translate company goals, consulting workflows, and customer needs into clear technical priorities and product decisions.
Own the AI/LLM stack. Build and refine systems that extract insights from unstructured inputs such as press releases, podcasts, expert interviews, and public datasets. Develop robust pipelines across retrieval, reasoning, evaluation, and agentic workflows.
Translate consulting methodology into software. Encode strategic frameworks, scoring systems, research workflows, quality guardrails, and decision-support tools into repeatable product experiences.
Set the engineering bar. Define standards for code quality, documentation, technical decision-making, security, observability, and operational discipline.
Own Aytza’s security, privacy, and technical risk posture, including client data protections, permissioning, auditability, and vendor selection and oversight. Define Aytza’s data and knowledge governance approach, including source provenance, review workflows, retention policies, and standards for trusted output generation.
This role is different because you'll build cutting-edge AI infrastructure - agentic workflows, LLM pipelines, complex data systems - on a product that is already live, already generating revenue, and already being used every day by a highly skilled internal team. That means no waiting around for user feedback. Our consultants are sophisticated, engaged, and vocal, which creates an exceptionally tight and productive build-learn-iterate loop.
You'll have real architectural ownership at a moment when the foundational decisions still matter, and you'll make them alongside a team that's genuinely excellent and genuinely collaborative.
We're past the 'will this work?' stage. We're in the 'how do we build this to last and scale?' stage. If that's the problem you want to work on, this is the right role for you.
